Mysore Concerns is family, connecting with other families. It was Late Mr. G.V. Venkatram, a serial entrepreneur whose broad vision created the establishment we have today. Having grown up in Gargeshwari, near Mysore in Karnataka and spending his early years in Mysore, his love for the humble coffee is what he carried with him in his move to Bombay in the 1930’s.

When we began our journey in 1939, we were a small grocery store that also sold filter coffee powder. The coffee was home roasted, authentic and pure. The store quickly became a household name among the thriving South Indian community of Matunga, called mini Madras of Bombay. As the demand for the beverage increased and Shrikant, his son took over in late 1960’s, coffee became one of the main selling products. He expanded this legacy, focusing on taking the brand to other cities in India. Supported ably by his wife Subhadra, Mysore Concerns transformed into a brand synonymous to an authentic coffee experience
